1975-1980 Oldsmobile Starfire

Many agree this second generation of Oldsmobile Starfires from 1975-1980 really should have been given a different name. Although it was an attractive and sporty compact car, they were nothing like the 1961-1966 models.

One comment about the body style: It was the era of the mid-to-late 1970s when a car body would be used for multiple divisons of GM. The Buick Skyhawk was the exact same car with only a few modest cosmetic changes to it. Also, the latter Oldsmobile Starfire models of 1979 and 1980 look very similar to the Chevrolet Monza. That's too bad.

Anyway, here's a tribute to these Starfires. My friend Jeff Christlieb's first car was a 1976 Olds Starfire. :)

Love the sporty look, the stylist tail lights and wheel rim colors that matched the body color.
